All State Audition Timeline 

 

Consult the timeline below for the audition process from nomination through roster release. 

 

IMPORTANT: The audition schedule for the 2026-2027 is different from prior years. Review the Maryland All State Auditions Update - 2026-2027 School Year. Full audition dates and locations are listed below. 

 

Nomination Dates (Educators)

• Nomination Window: Mid-August - Wednesday, September 23

• Late Nomination Window: Thursday, September 24 to Wednesday, October 7 

• Nomination Form (Educators Only): 2026-2027 All State Audition Nominations

 

Registration Dates (Caregivers) 

• Registration Window: Monday, September 28 to Monday, October 19

• Late Registration Window: Tuesday, October 20 to Tuesday, October 27

• Accessibility Request Deadline (if applicable): Monday, October 26

 

       Registration Invitation Messages 

       Caregivers will receive information via email on the following dates:

Monday, September 28

Invitations sent for nominations received through Wednesday, September 23

Monday, October 12

Invitations sent for all late nominations received Thursday, September 24 to Wednesday, October 7

Audition Dates (Students with Support from Educators/Caregivers)

• Audition Submission Window (Recorded/Asynchronous): Wednesday, October 28 to Wednesday, November 4. Audition upload links will be sent the morning of Wednesday, October 28.

• Senior Auditions: Saturday, November 14

• Junior Ensemble Auditions: Saturday, November 21

• Senior Jazz Band Auditions: Saturday, November 21

 

In-Person Audition Schedule Messages

Caregivers and educators (and students if contact info is provided) will receive information via email on the following dates:

Please consult your student’s school music educator with any questions. If the question is not answered, contact MMEA Staff at mmeamarylandinfo@gmail.com.

 

When communicating with MMEA regarding All State auditions, please include the student’s full name, grade, and instrument/vocal part. Once a student has completed the audition registration process, please include the audition number in any communications.

 

Copy the student’s school music educator on all messages to ensure transparent and accurate communication. MMEA staff will extend the same courtesy in the event staff needs to communicate with caregivers and/or students.
