Maryland Music Educators Association (MMEA) seeks to provide high-quality, peer-reviewed

professional development opportunities for all learners. We do so by hosting the following conferences:


Summer Virtual Conference (virtual)

Each summer MMEA hosts a virtual conference that focuses on overarching topics that affect all educators in the field, regardless of teaching level or content area. Attendees learn from experts and leaders across the country during the keynote and breakout sessions. 



Annual Fall In-Service Conference (in-person)

Friday, October 21, 2022 from 7:30 am to 2:00 pmThis conference provided sessions starting from the basics, building up to concepts of advanced and mature musicianship, and everything in between.

Annual State Conference (in-person)

Save the Date for March 3 to 5, 2023 in Baltimore. 

Current, future, and retired educators are encouraged to join us annually in Baltimore for this conference. Attendees will learn directly applicable, pedagogy-based, proven practices from fellow Marylanders and national clinicians. This event occurs simultaneously with the Senior All State weekend.

MMEA is dedicated to ensuring all those seeking resources have the access they need. As such, attendees may choose a “Pay What You Can” option or a recommended registration rate.


Membership is not required for any professional learning event or student adjudication opportunity hosted by MMEA.
